TRACES Copenhagen is the third print publication by Thomas Karl-Johan Gunnarsson, a Stockholm-based photographer who founded TagsAndThrows in the 2010s, a social media channel entirely dedicated to tags and throw-ups. The concept is highly focused, showcasing only illegal works in black and white. This book highlights street activity in the Danish capital over a twenty-year period and is packed with images covering all the surfaces typical of urban graffiti: trucks, doors, electrical boxes, shutters, fences, and much more. Not in chronological order, the book takes the reader on a visual journey through two decades of graffiti, featuring both well-known local writers and international visitors.
